Recently, BAIC has collaborated with Letv which is China’s first intelligent car  UI system developer and announced to build a new generation of intelligent automobile and car eco-system. On April 20, the first product of “Car Networking Concept System” on the basis of cooperation between the two sides has been shown at “Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition”.

Cooperation between BAIC and Letv is based on the concept of “Light Assets and Intelligent Drive”, featuring in forward technology research regarding car networking, core products development and resources integration in order to fully carry out a series of business such as development and design for the whole platform of Internet smart car, car production, parts supporting, after sales, and leasing. It aims to build out new smart car system based on combination between Internet and car as well as users’ experience, data and cloud computing.

Meanwhile, BAIC plans to promote the development of new energy vehicles with the help of Internet technologies. It is understood that BAIC new energy vehicles will be equipped with the new smart automotive systems with charging system of triple play, for the purpose of providing more travel options for the general public relying on Internet and new energy.

In fact, “Internet+” represents an economic form whereby Internet innovations are integrated into various economic and social sectors to improve innovations and productivity and form a new pattern of economic development depending on Internet infrastructure. Since Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang proposed “Internet+” action plan, the term “Internet of Vehicles” search links are increasing exponentially, as a result of ten million searches.

Letv, Founded in 2004, is committed to creating complete ecosystem of platform, content, terminal and application replying on video industry and intelligent terminal.  The video website Letv.com as its subordinate is the first IPO listed company in the industry worldwide. In March 2015, BAIC signed a deal with Letv and announced to build a new generation of intelligent vehicles and car eco-system.
