Beijing Automotive Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "BAIC Group") is a backbone enterprise of China auto industry. Originated from the Beijing automobile factory founded in 1958, BAIC Group is headquartered in Beijing. It has developed into large enterprise group ranked 192th among the world's top 500, covering the industry chain from R&D and manufacturing of vehicles and parts to automobile service trade, comprehensive travelling service, financing and investment business with more than 480 billion yuan of annual revenue.

Over the past 66 years, BAIC Group has achieved many industry milestones: The company developed and produced the first car in Beijing-- "Jinggangshan" sedan. It established the first brand of light off-road vehicle BJ212 and the first generation of light truck BJ130 of new China. The first vehicle manufacturing joint venture in Chinese auto industry -- Beijing Jeep Co., Ltd. was also established by BAIC. After China's accession to WTO, the first vehicle manufacturing joint venture--Beijing Hyundai Auto Co., Ltd., and the model of joint venture cooperation between China and Germany--Beijing Benz Auto Co., Ltd. were both established by BAIC.
